A couple weeks ago I opened up about my frustrations with Instagram's algorithm. But I've been thinking about how inspiring and informative Instagram has been for me in creating my own home, and that is honestly what we hope to achieve here. I hope to show you that even if you don't have a large home (we don't), or if you live in a rental and can't change much (yep that's us!) or if you don't have a large budget to work with (again, us), you can still make your home beautiful and uniquely YOU.
That all said, we decided to create a new series on here - "1 Bed Styled 3 Ways" - to show just how many different looks you can get simply by changing up pillows! Like really, we didn't change ANYTHING but the pillows, yet each look is so unique.
We thought we'd start this series off with our brand new Collectiv from India. I designed every single one of these pillows, spending MANY late nights nailing down the designs, perfecting the details, and locking in the perfect colors. These pillows have been a HUGE labor of love that has taken over 6 months to bring to life! Each one is woven by hand (we'll share some cool BTS on that later!) and each is a true work of art. So! We want to show you 3 COMPLETELY different looks you can get, simply by mixing up the pillows in this Collectiv.
LOOK NUMBER ONE
You've heard us say it before, but one of our main goals in all that we do is to make collections that are both unique yet cohesive. So mixing and matching to create your own custom look is easy peasy. This first look is for all my desert lovers out there. These warm clay, rust, and gold tones have my whole heart and instantly brighten my day!!!!
I just love these warm tones and the eclectic look.

LOOK NUMBER TWO
For our second look, we decided to hone in on the jewel tones and I love that it isn't too masculine or feminine.
LOOK NUMBER THREE
Finally, for the third look we went with symmetry and simplicity and decided to let the bold, beautiful patterns really shine.
I absolutely LOVE our bedroom. It feels beautiful and luxurious, and we've been able to achieve this look at a very minimal cost. We don't have a bed frame (kinda embarrassed to admit that!), we BARELY purchased these very affordable nightstands, we DIYed our bench (tutorial coming soon!) and found our chair on the side of the road! The biggest expense in our bedroom, and one that makes all the difference, is our Brooklinen bedding. We have a blog post ALL about our Brooklinen bedding and why we love it here, but I will say it again - quality linen bedding is an investment worth making. I can't even tell you how much better I've been sleeping since we made this switch!!
So there you have it - 1 bed styled 3 ways - and each look is so very different.
Below are the links to everything, and don't forget to leave a comment letting us know what you think! Do you want to see more posts like this? Feedback on what helps YOU is very helpful to US in making content!!

Ally

ReplyDeleteI love look 3! I agree that the simplicity let’s the pillows’ patters be the focal point of the whole room!
ReplyDeleteI love look 1! The bright colors and patterns are sure to tie any room together and may even make me want to make my bed everyday!
ReplyDeleteLove look one! The color scheme is amazing and reminds me of my favorite sunsets.
ReplyDeleteYour posts are so helpful! I love ethnic fabrics but struggle with color combos and patterns that don’t look too tacky together. Your blog/instagram is so inspiring. Thanks for all the work you do
ReplyDeleteDig the tribal chic vibe y’all have going on. Fresh and modern and colorful.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in all of these. They are bright and compliment the wood bench and tables with the white linens. Couldn’t be more refreshing and fun!!
ReplyDeleteLove these! Milana is my fave, but honestly this whole series is inspirational. Keep ‘em coming!
ReplyDeleteThe colors in this whole series actually really remind me of the textiles I grew up around in New Mexico. Rich burnt orange and aqua/teal, esp. the Milania pillows in look no 2. Beautiful collection altogether, esp. with the contrast of the white bed linens!
ReplyDeleteLove the third look! I just bought the blanket! Wish my room looked like any of the three looks! The contrast with the white comforter is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLook 2 is gorgeous and has the accent colors from our bedroom currently. Those soft peaches are glorious! ✨
ReplyDeleteWOW! Bold is beautiful! Adding a pop of colour really does add so much happiness and feeling to a room. I love the Milana, it would really lift any space. Love this look!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely look 3. I’m thinking of those target night stands as living room night stands.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! LOVE the colors, especially look 2!
ReplyDeleteI’m honestly surprised how much simply changing the pillowscape (is that a even word ♀️) so powerfully shifts the feeling and vibe! Pretty awesome. I’m digging look # 2 tonight! 🙌🏼 Thanks for the inspiration 👍🏼
ReplyDeleteThese pillows are on my wish list! I especially love the sunrise pillows and the orange circle one. Such clean, bright simplicity! Such brilliant work.
ReplyDeleteI love how easy it is to change a whole room just by the pillows. I’m absolutely loving the third look. Love all the inspo and what you sell too!! Soooooo good!

ReplyDeletelove love love, the orange and blue series is killing it !!! I love a good mashup of contemporary geometric shapes and traditional pillow shapes and materials! - Caitlin T
ReplyDeleteLook number 3 for me! Big and bold! Love the colours and size of the cushions. The geometric shapes are amazing
ReplyDeleteJewel tones for the win! I like how each look brings out the colors of the painting behind the bed differently. In the second one it tones down the peach and boosts the terracotta. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI genuinely love your bedroom - it’s so clean and pure and happy. Reading this blog post has inspired me to refresh ours! Such a good reminder that it just takes a little effort not a lot of dollars
ReplyDeleteI also love the tassels and bright colour pop from the Collectiv from India range 🥰
